CTU 2010 - Outside Plant Operations

This class will help the student prepare to pass the CFOS/O (Certified Fiber Optic Specialist/Outside Plant) certification offered by the FOA (Fiber Optic Association). The CFOS/O Certification will be given as the final exam. The course introduces students to the characteristics of outside plant fiber optic networks either in design, installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting. Hands on activities include enclosures, placement, splicing and testing fiber optic cable including introducing students to the tools used in the fiber optic industry. Offered (Spring)
