PHY 2340 - Engineering Physics II 4 Credits
Prerequisite(s): PHY2330 The second semester of a two-semester, calculus-based introduction to physics. Topics include electric fields, electric potential, capacitance, resistance and conductivity, Kirchoff’s rules, basic circuit analysis, magnetism, Ampere’s law, induction and inductance, EMF, Faraday’s law, RLC circuits, electric power, electromagnetic waves, geometric optics, interference, diffraction, polarization, special relativity, quantum physics, atomic physics, semiconductors, nuclear physics, and elementary particles.
