PHY 2330 - Engineering Physics I 4 Credits
Co-requisite(s): MTH2510 & PHY2335 The first semester of a two-semester, calculus-based introduction to physics. Topics include kinematics in 1-D and 2-D, vectors and vector algebra, force and Newton’s laws of motion, work, kinetic and potential energy, conservation of energy, linear momentum, collisions, rotational kinematics and dynamics, angular momentum, rotational energy, gravitation, simple harmonic motion, waves and sound, properties of solids and fluids, heat and thermodynamics, and the kinetic theory of gases.
