Introduction to descriptive and inferential statistics. Topics include calculation of measures of central tendency and dispersion; calculation of event probability; calculations using counting techniques including combinations and permutations; study of binomial, Poisson, and normal probability distributions; study of frequency and relative frequency distributions; population parameter estimation; confidence interval estimation; hypothesis testing; analysis of variation; chi-square analysis; and quality control.
