ROB 2230 - VFDs and Servo Systems

Prerequisite(s): EET1050
Co-requisite(s): EET1360 or EET1500
The focus of this course is primarily Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) with the balance on Servo drives. This is an advanced study of the application of various state-of-the-art speed controls on DC and AC motors. The course also includes an application of industrial solid-state devices as well as the characteristics of the devices in a closed loop servo system. Offered (Spring)
