NUR 1160 - Foundations in Nursing 3 Credits
Prerequisite(s): BIO1230 & BIO1235 Co-requisite(s): NUR1165 & NUR1163 & NUR1150 This course focuses on fundamental concepts of nursing necessary for safe, compassionate, patient-centered care for a diverse patient population with well-defined healthcare concerns, their families, and other support persons. Select nursing skills are taught in the concurrent skills laboratory course; theory, patient care skills, and clinical judgment are applied in the concurrent clinical course. Principles of pathophysiology, nutrition and pharmacology are integrated into this course. Offered (Fall, Spring)
